The final week of the McCain/Palin campaign has been a stressful one. "I don't know why you people aren't getting this," said a shakey Nancy Pfotenhauer on CNN's Larry King Live. "Obama hung out with Bill Ayers, so he's practically a terrorist himself," she continued. "He's a socialist. And that's almost a communist. And sort of like a Nazi." Larry King and the rest of his panel shot questioning looks at one another but said nothing. "What? Can't you see he's a black commie Muslim Nazi terrorist!" |

Pfotenhauer burst into tears. "Please- I don't want to go back to work at The Gap." At the beginning of the week, McCain campaign surogates insisted his chances were that of getting an "inside straight" in a poker hand. By midweek, they had altered the talking point to "as getting a royal flush." Friday it was "five of a kind," which campaign manager Rick Davis said "could happen," before hinting that Palin was a "retarded diva" who would "drag them down with her." Davis is no longer taking any calls. Palin "went rogue" and said these neo-cons would "learn a thing or two" when she and Todd ran the party in 2012. |
