A shop owner in the embattled town of Ferguson, Missouri is annoyed he had to spend the weekend protecting his shop from would-be looters and occuppying police force.
"I just wanted to watch 'Blue Bloods' on Netflix," said Nathan Denning while holding a shotgun behind the counter of his convenience store. "Instead I'm stuck here warding off looters and storm troopers." Denning said he prefers the law enforcement he sees on CBS dramas.
"They dress the way cops should. These guys," he said gesturing out the window at the SWAT team marching along-side an armored vehicle, "are dressed like we're in Faluja." Denning said Ferguson has long had a problem with racial tensions, and has himself dealt with theiving youth. "Sure, I've had some of these kid come in here and shoplift, just like I did when I was a dumb kid," he said. "It never occured to me that I could just shoot them in the chest." Denning said he hopes things cool down before his next day off.
"I'd also like to catch up on 'The Mentalist.'"
